My name is Celtina Masardo. After completing my Master’s degree in teaching French to foreigners, I taught French in schools in Lyon and Switzerland. However, after my classes, my students would gather among themselves and speak English. What a shame to come all this way and not take advantage of experiencing real French life!
That’s why, in 2012, I created S.L. Immersion to offer authentic and deeply immersive stays. Since my courses in Provence became very popular with students, I expanded our offerings across France with the help of teachers who are passionate about their regions and the French language. Our programs combine learning, culture, exchanges with locals, and authenticity.
Over the past decade, we’ve welcomed learners from all over the world, such as David, an American accountant, or Tomoko, a Japanese diplomat. They all confirmed that immersion is the fastest and most effective way to master a language.
But here’s something I often hear: once they’re back home, life resumes. Time is short, budgets are tight, and not everyone can fly to France every year.
